Here's how I did on my 2018 goals in June!

Personal Goals

1. Read 48 books - 83% complete

Read five books this month and still way ahead of schedule! I'll post about what I read soon.

2. Start a blog - 52% complete

Posted twice in June. Goal is one post per week.

3. Organize photos/backups - 8% complete

No progress.

Family Goals

1. Read to Finley nightly and track what we're reading - 50% complete

So glad our girl still loves reading so much. Now when we tell her to pick three books at bedtime she always says, "No, five books!" Recent favorites include Duck and Goose: How Are You Feeling? and Little Owl Lost. And by favorites, I mean we read them a couple of times every day. :)

2. Have a date night OUT every month - 67% complete

We had a great time celebrating Casey's birthday at Epcot while my parents watched Finley at the hotel. We also got to go to a Nashville v. Atlanta United 2 soccer match in Nashville at the end of the month!

3. Have a date night IN every month - 50% complete

Didn't track this, but I know we spent a few nights together watching movies/shows at home!

Fun Goals

1. Experience Huntsville - 75% complete

Did a few new Huntsville things this month! We had a big work event with lots of visitors, so we did a big dinner together and another fun outing. The dinner was a multi-course chef's table dinner in the kitchen at Rocket City Tavern, which was SO fun and yummy. The next night we all went to Civil Axe Throwing at Campus 805, where I learned that I'm terrible at throwing axes (but Casey's great!). I did get one to stick just before our time was up. :) We also took Finley to Let's Play for the first time and she had a BLAST. We will definitely be back!

2. Go to Disney World - 100% complete

Went to Disney and had the best time! I wasn't sure how it would go, with Finley being just shy of three, but she did awesome and I'm so glad we went. (And we got the funniest picture ever on the Frozen ride, where Finley did not enjoy the "big snowman"... hahaha!)

3. Go to Washington, D.C. - 100% complete

Financial Goals

1. Track our spending with YNAB - 50% complete

Still using YNAB to track our expenses/budget.

2. Have two no-spend months - 50% complete

No progress.

3. Buy a new computer - 53% complete

Still steadily saving for my new Macbook!

Health Goals

1. Achieve my daily stand and move goals - 80% complete

My goal here is to achieve my daily stand and move goals at least three times per week.
  • Stand goal: Achieved 22 of 31 days
  • Move goal: Achieved 27 of 31 days

    2. Lose 10 pounds - 58% complete

    No progress.

    3. Develop a skincare routine - 100% complete

I decided to stop putting so much pressure on myself to find the perfect skincare routine and just consistently stick with the products I already use (Rodan + Fields Unblemish).

    Household Goals

    1. Re-do The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up - 42% complete

I made a tiny bit of progress cleaning out our house in Finley's closet. She grows so fast and I constantly have to clean out to make room for the bigger sizes!

    2. Hire a maid - 100% complete

    3. Cook more - 43% complete

We are still doing Hello Fresh about every other week and love it! I also recently made some Pioneer Woman recipes that were a hit.

      Spiritual Goals

      1. Read 10 faith books - 50% complete

Decided to adjust this goal to just be to read 10 faith-based books (it used to be to read three books on "faith basics"). I read four faith-based books earlier in the year, and I read another one in June.

      2. Keep a prayer journal - 6% complete

      No progress.

      3. Do a small group at church - 50% complete

No progress. Will join another small group when the fall semester begins.

      Other Goals

These are some other goals I included on my monthly Powersheets but are not tied to any of my yearly goals.

      1. GWT - This was a big work event that I am so glad to have complete.

      2. Father's Day - Loved celebrating Father's Day with Casey and the other fathers in his family. We celebrated with my dad a little later in the month!

We packed so much into June! I love summer months because we get to spend so much more time together.
